TAKE A LOOK IN YOUR EYES
"Blikkensteler" is an interactive installation. Blikkensteler means something like: "thief of your glances" A chance to loose oneself for a few minutes in a in the eyes of a stranger.
A database filling itself, autonomous, with individuals glancing and staring at you. Fascinating to witness how people react on their own image: Revealing, vulnerable, posed, shocked, with a big smile. Enjoy it.

"De grote beweging" ("The large movement") is a project of Dries Verhoeven for the Festival Boulevard 2006 in 's-Hertogenbosch. A camera hanging at a huge crane turns the reality of the moment in an universal document about mankind and time.
I developed the entier concept and build it in software and hardware from scratch based on the ideas of Dries.
Een camera aan een 50 meter hoge hijskraan aan de voet van een mobiele "container"-bioscoop. Met toevallige passanten op het stationsplein van 's-Hertogenbosch werd real-time een film gemaakt over de mensheid. De binnenkomende camerabeelden werden tot een film omgevormd terwijl het publiek er naar keek. Het spel met livebeelden en manipulatie in de tijd levert een vervreemdende sfeer op. Ik heb de volledige software en de hardware van dit project geprototyped en gerealiseerd.
