For a closer look...
"Follower" is a kinetic artwork build of aluminium wood and electronics. It is 3.5 meters high. A fragile construction of two interconnected wheels.
The movements are controlled by gravity. Two pendulums inside the wheels force the wheels to turn.
Its name is "Follower" because it is inspired on a primitive life-form: a prokaryoot. A single cell organism with very primairy behavior. It can only do where it is build for. In a similar way Follower reacts on impulses around him. It's behavior suggests and might look like communication. Sometimes subtle and sensitive, sometimes uncontrolled and scary.
